Married without Children

This could be a period of waiting if you are already hoping and planning for children, or a time to consider how children factor into God’s design for your family. Regardless, it is a precious opportunity for you and your spouse to define and strengthen your marriage.

As a married person, family issues may now take prominence in your life, even if they didn’t use to in the past. Take time to discuss the more controversial issues on which you may differ, and learn to listen to the motivations behind each other’s opinions. Seek godly counsel where your differences are marked and potentially divisive. Working through them will make your marriage stronger as you become like-minded and like Christ.
